How will
your workshops help our other training?
It has been estimated that up to 85% of annual training budgets
go to waste when participants forget the material covered during
the training just days or weeks later. Not only is it a waste
of $850 out of every $1,000 training dollar spent, but it is also
a waste of time. Why spend the money and time to train your
employees if 85% can be lost, forgotten and remain unused? To achieve
optimal return on investment (ROI) on your training budget, Kwik
Recall & Kwik Reading training must come first.
Why is Kwik Recall Memory Training important to my business?
We believe the 2 most costly words in business are “I forgot.”
Every time someone in your organization thinks these words, money
can be lost and time can be wasted. Memory lapses at the wrong
time can hurt a business relationship or kill a sale.
When you have a sharp memory, you stand out from the competition. People believe you're talented and on top of things. They want to do business with you, because they know you they are in capable hands. Since information is the currency for 21st century business success,
memory is power. A trained memory can enhance all other business
areas/skills, including sales, negotiation, management, customer
service, public speaking, time management, networking, training
& development, and more. There is no learning without memory.
Can someone's memory really be improved?
There is no such thing as a good or bad memory, just a trained and an untrained memory. Scientists estimate only about 1/3 of a person’s memory is genetically predetermined. The majority of our memory abilities are within our control.
Why is Kwik Reading Training necessary in today's workplace?
With the amount of information needed to be absorbed, understood
and retained, Kwik Reading is a must have skill in today’s
knowledge economy. A person reading only 250 words per minute is consistently struggling to catch up. It has been estimated that up to 60% of
an employee’s work time can be spent reading and handling
paperwork. That means if an employee is paid $100k, $60k can
be paid just to read.
Three reasons why Kwik Reading is essential for your staff:
- Greater Productivity – Reading (Handling paperwork,
reports, emails, documents, memos, etc.) is the most costly
company time wasted. Employees can rededicate this time
saved towards greater work performance.
- Make Better Decisions - Each day the decisions your organization
make are only as good as the information they base them upon.
Stay better informed and get ahead of the competition. What
if every person on your team could read (and remember) one critcal
business improvement book a month (or a week)?
- Reduce Employee Information Anxiety & Overload - A world-wide
survey found that two thirds of managers suffer from increased
tension and one third from ill-health because of information
overload. Symptoms of Information Fatigue Syndrome (IFS) include
anxiety, poor decision-making, difficulties in memorizing and
remembering, and reduced attention span (Reuters, 1996)
Is Kwik Reading similar to skimming?
No! The majority of our cliental is made up of top professionals that place high value on the accuracy of knowledge (attorneys, financial advisors, doctors, etc.) These professionals cannot be satisfied with just “getting the gist” of their reading. Since memory is a primary focal point in Kwik Learning’s training workshops, our reading method concentrates on improving reading speed with no sacrifice to comprehension or retention. Many clients report improved understanding.
Can reading ability be improved?
No one is born with the ability to read. Reading is a skill that is taught, yet the last time most of us had a class called reading was back in grade school. The average person reads about 250 words per minute. According to university studies, 1,500+ words per minute is an attainable reading speed.
What are the goals of the workshops?
We focus on four (4) primary outcomes for all our training workshops:
- Education - Did participants LEARN the information presented well? What do they know now that they did not before? Can they share what they learned so others can benefit?
- Enjoyment – How do participants FEEL about the training? Did they have a pleasurable experience? We live in an entertainment age, where people focus on things that touch them emotionally. The feelings one attaches to the information they are learning is fundamental in the training process.
- Empowerment - What can participants DO now that they couldn't before? Knowledge is not power, it is only potential power. Action is where the proverbial rubber meets the road. How fast are they now reading? How many more names are they now remembering?
- Effectiveness - Can their new behaviors produce new RESULTS? How has their efficiency affected the bottomline? How has their new mental performance increased their productivity? How much time has their ability to read four times more effectively saved? How has their new memory skills influenced their selling process?
Will my team be interested in your training?
Based on our workshop evaluations, participants enjoy the training because it's fun, practical and relevant. There is not a day that goes by that we don't need to read and remember, so there is rarely a day that goes by that participants won’t benefit from using these techniques.
